Rivaaz

Had heard about this restaurant through friends so decided to try it out this afternoon for lunch. Ambience is very nice and so is the decor.It wasn't crowded at all, and we were seated comfortably.Very conveniently located close to Mumbai Central station - opposite Sobo Central - in the ground floor of Hotel Sahil.Ordered Shikanji (was so refreshing), prawns butter pepper garlic, rawas tikka, dum chicken biryani and Gosht Nihari (which is a Saturday/Sunday special on their menu).Quantity was good and this sufficed the 4 of us.Try their cheese garlic naan and waqri paranthas-both superb.For dessert, we had falooda and kulfis.Though mughlai food can be quite rich, we did not have that very heavy feeling post our meal.

A great fine dine restaurant, at an affordable price. The Chicken Gulfa was extremely unique and was great. The chicken malai kebabs were perfect, with a great accompaniment of a sweet onion coleslaw type of thing.
In gravies we ordered the Murg Maharaja. This dish is a must have, with tender chicken and a really great tasting gravy, it was a bit spicy too. The Bhuna Ghosht was average, a bit undercooked, but passable. The rivaaz sundae dessert was like nothing I've had before with fruits, ice-cream rabdi and dry fruits, it just hit the spot.
